| Odanais bolts straight for the fight, enveloping himself with wild magics as he runs. When his eyes catch on the men assaulting Count Rags, he hurls a bolt of pure chaos at one of them, then blinks hard, slightly altering reality for a moment, and bounces it in the direction of the other.
Move to M-19.
Automatic: Wild Soul (radiant), Chaos Burst (+1 ac until end of turn)
Minor action: Chaotic Defense (+2 to all defenses until end of encounter)
Chaos Bolt I (27 vs. will, 23 pts psychic/radiant damage). Uses Focused Chaos (free action) to treat the roll as an even number in order to get a second shot.
Chaos Bolt II (14 vs will, 15 pts psychic/radiant damage).
--------------------------------
Heightened Defenses:
AC: 25, Fort: 20, Ref: 23, Will: 26 HP: 70, Surges: 7

Mike's off in Canada till the 9th, and he doesn't check the forums that often, anyway. Do you want to NPC him? Or should I post for Lien? | |

Lien hefts his fullblade and rushes towards the fight too. OOC: Move to H11 with a double move. HP 65 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges 7 (16 hp); AC 24, Fort 17, Ref 20, Will 20 | |

| OOC: sorry about the delay... The League moves in, Artichoke warily, Sir Lien suicidally, and Lizzie stridently, full of revolutionary fervor. The Porcophant advances, making a great show of glowing, and calls forth his reluctant angel, who incarnates right into the lap of one of the Unseemly youth. "Watch yer where you put your sword, Guv!" shouts the boy as he nimbly steps aside. "Oh, you've got wings!" he coos in wonder. Odanais shrouds himself in emanations then looses his own particular interpreation of Hell, striking one of Count Rag's attackers (P1) in the face, adding some nice burns to a face already a nest of blade scars. Rags uses the opportunity to scamper back, badly wounded even after Lady Bumstussle's assistance. In return, the burnt veteran leaps onto a bench and then off into a flanking position around a courtier (at M9). The bum takes one short sword to the chest and another in the kidneys. He collapses in a heap. Sancerre's men on that front have all taken hits. Two lackeys are bleeding badly. Neither veteran pirate looks badly injured yet, though Odanais doubts his man could take too many more of his bolts. At this range, most of the League can make on the combatants in the cloud. Lord Bum's folk are holding their own against Sancerre's inferior-grade swordsmen, but the shadow-magic will soon put an end to them. That is, if the pirates don't fillet them first. Shadows swirl and surge around a courtier in the cloud (at R8) He screams and staggers out from the cloud for a moment. He's missing his right hand. Two veteran leap through the darkness to flank another courtier (at T11). Sancerre himself remains invisible, obviously hiding behind the shadow cloud. The two chanting courtiers appear to be reaching some kind of metaphysical climax. Which can only help things, right? The Unseemly Court are proving to be better homeless factotums than fighters. | |

| "And so might you someday, lad," the Angel patronizes, "If you eat all of your vegetables and show kindness to those in need."
Pætros snorts as he approaches. "Vegetables rot brain," he snaps. "Never eat anything green; is common sense. And selfishness is greatest of all virtues." He raises his staff and calls out something terrible, and the skies obligingly begin to weep caustic and bloody tears.
"Heart of enemy," the Porcophant continues thoughtfully, "Is nutritious in metaphoric sense. And tasty if cooked good."
OOC: Move to K14, Pig at J13, and use a Minor Action to bring the angel to L14. Use Rain of Blood, an Area Burst 2, centered on S10. Only hits enemies, and there are seven of 'em in the area.
In order, from North to South, 21, 17, 23, 21, 24, 18, and a natural one. All vs. Fortitude. Damage is 21 points (with an additional 7 to anyone uninjured when the rain begins), everyone hit has Vulnerable: 5 (Everything) until the end his next turn, and any allies in the area get a +4 to hit until the end of his next turn.
Current Defenses: AC 25, Fort 23, Ref 20, Will 22. (Includes -2 to-hit penalty from Astral Splendor) +1 to all defenses against attacks from anyone he hit this turn.
So, yeah, apparently he's an Objectivist, too. Who knew?

| Artichoke indicates the two lackeys on the western flank and calls to Lien, "We'll take these two." Then he moves up and slashes at the southern one.
Lien, already closer to the action, rushes up to the northern one, calling it out as his enemy, and swings his large sword in an overhead chop.
OOC: Artichoke moves to I9 and attacks the lackey at J9 (hits AC 28 for 14 damage); Lien moves to I7, uses his Oath of Enmity on the lackey at J8, and attacks it (hits AC 26 for 19 damage)
ARTICHOKE: HP 64 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges/day 10 (17 hp); AC 25, Fort 22, Ref 23, Will 20
LIEN: HP 65 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges 7 (16 hp); AC 24, Fort 17, Ref 20, Will 20

Three of Sancerre's lackey's (at S8,T9,T10) go down as the sky weeps blood into their sheltering darkness. The veteran pirate (P3), who was previously uninjured, suffers a stern rebuke from Pætros's holy --from a certain perspective-- magic. Curiously, a raspy woman's voice cries out in pain from somewhere near the center of the cloud. Meanwhile, Artichoke and Lien move up and cut down their lackey-grade opponents. Things are looking up. Briefly. The moans and cries of the Unseemly folk intensify. "I canna take np more. Cold, so cold!" Lord Bum's people begin the stagger back out of the cloud. Needless to say, they look pale as corpses. One of the vagrant mystics stops chanting. The sound of thunder is heard overhead from the clear sky overhead. From beyond the dark cloud Sancerre's voice cries "Truly these are worthy foes! Let us fight for justice in earnest!" - Quote :
- So, yeah, apparently he's an Objectivist, too. Who knew?
OOC: this will only make Treasure's religion more contradictory, and thus realistic.

Does that by any chance include the Unseemly at S-10? | |

The lackey drops as Lizzie fatally reeducates him. The grizzled pirate closest to Lizzie whistles and gives the people's champion a slightly concerned look. | |

| Odanais runs up to the cloud and foolishly leaps in where even the homeless fear to tread. Becoming a living spark, he bounces between the pirates and lackeys, jolting them with currents of electricity, before emerging from the cloud to become flesh-and-blood again.
Move: S-13
Spark Form (vs. reflex): 28 (P3), 24 (L at U-10), 26 (L at S-9), 14 (P3); 16 pts lightning/radiant damage.
Ending location: S-12
--------------------------------
Heightened Defenses:
AC: 25, Fort: 20, Ref: 23, Will: 26 HP: 70, Surges: 7
