| Sir Lien smiles happily as he feels himself wounded. Unable to rise, he looks up at the large monster and says, "I choose you - whatever you are."
Then, from his prone position, he rolls over and hacks at the creature. His blade flashes with light as he does so, and the blood pouring from his wounds begins to glow as well. And flow a little faster.
OOC: Use minor action to swear oath of enmity against the big enemy. Then attack with Avenging Echo (hit AC 24 for 26 radiant damage). Until the end of his next turn, any enemy that ends its turn adjacent to him, or that hits or misses him takes 9 radiant damage.
HP - 25/55; AC 23, Fort 16, Ref 19, Will 19. Current status: Prone | |

| Despite the blessing from Yatagan, Artichoke cannot break free of the restraints (OOC: blew save even with the +4!). The bald 'leader' of the group swears and then shouts, "Anyone who can help me ... help you ... kill this idiot, please do so!" Then he rolls over and slashes at the large creature. As he does, Lien waves his sword at the creature, distracting it for a moment (OOC: Use Divine Guidance as an immediate interrupt to let Artichoke roll twice and take the best one).
Artichoke's sword smacks into the large creature's side with a satisfyingly loud sound, sending a number of cracks shooting along its sides (OOC: Used an action point and got a 32 to hit vs. AC with Lead the Attack, doing 12 pts damage and giving everyone besides Odanais a +5 power bonus to hit vs. the big guy for the rest of the encounter). "Hit it in the cracks," Artichoke yells, before swinging again.
His sword hits one of the cracks, further deepening it. "See," Artichoke shouts, "This is how we do it!" (OOC: Attack with Stand the Fallen to hit AC 28, doing 20 pts of damage and letting every ally in 10 spend a healing surge and regain 2 extra hp).
Though he can't get to his feet yet, Artichoke hunkers down and prepares himself for the retaliatory attack (OOC: Use Inspiring Word on himself, spending a healing surge, and give himself a free save, and blow it).
OOC: Current Status - Prone, restrained; Surges spent today - 3; HP - 51/54; AC 24, Fort 20, Ref 22, Will 19 | |

| Oothoon, she thinks, gritting her teeth as she accepts the pain which accompanies his forced disappearance. The armadillo fortunately reappears soon after that, positioning himself near Lien and Lizzy. The spectral creature glows momentarily, then attempts to bite the enemy which grasps Lien.
OOC: Summon Oothoon to L16 - Lien and Lizzy have +1 to Ref, Will, and Fort. Use Healing Spirit on Christabel, and +6 healing to Lizzy.
Call to the Savage Elder: 15 vs. Ref. If that somehow hits... 12dmg, and +5 melee power bonus to Lien and Lizzy.
Christabel makes the save, using Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes. (See below!)
HP 59/62, AC 19, Fort 18, Ref 17, Will 21

| Yatagan is at 55 of 70 HP, 8 Healing Surges remaining.
"The cracks you say?!" shouts the Dragonborn, mainly to hear the booming sound of his own voice. Yatagan is invigorated by the warlords restorative platitudes, but, unfortunately, less full of killing frenzy. | |

| Lizzy designates the large creature an enemy of the people. He then begins propagandizing, causing shared madness (vs Will) in the large creature, B, and the small one behind Lizzy, M3. "You don't exist; you have no reality! You are nothing but a leech sucking on the work of the living..."
28 (Added +5 bonus from above) to hit vs Will and 17 damage. If hits than the smaller one behind Lizzy, M3, also takes 17 damage.

OOC: Burst 3. And before I forget to mention it again, these things don't seem particularly vulnerable to Radiant damage. But nor are they resisting it.Yatigan's first swing bounces off the giant's ankle, but his Enfeebling Strike hits home. Lien's blow is also turned by it's stony hide, and it manages to avoid Chrisabel's strike as well. Infuriated, the giant turns and stomps on Artichoke's face with tremendous force, an action quickly imitated by its companion. A moment later, a shard of stone shatters on the floor by Artichoke's now battered head, hurled by the creature that's been slowly scuttling forward. OOC: 28 points of damage from the big guy, 16 more from the smaller one.Another of the smaller Hidimbas punched Christabel in the nose, wile the third one begins kicking Lien in the ribs. OOC: 16 points to Christabel, 12 to Lien.Odanais finds himself beset on either side; one of the foes handily misses him, the other carves a piece of flesh out of the Sorcerer's arm. OOC: 12 points +5 Psychic | |

| Odanais extends his arms and inhales a storm-like breath into his lungs, then slams his hands together creating a thunderous explosion that lashes out at his two enemies. The blast carries him across the room, weaving acrobatically between pillars like he was the wind itself, to land with a second thunderous blast that batters away two more foes.
Thunder Leap: (vs. Fort) S2=25, S3=21; 19 points of thunder damage
Move: R16 (no attacks of opportunity)
Thunder Leap: (vs. Fort) M2=26 , S1=29; 20 points of thunder damage; M2 is pushed to P14, S1 is pushed to U16.
Shift: Q16
-------------
Chaos Burst: free saving throw (unneeded)
(ongoing +2 to all defenses from Chaotic Defense and 5 pts of necrotic resistance)
-------------
Current Hit Points: 36 (out of 60)

| Sir Lien rises to his feet, smiling through blood-soaked teeth as the halo of fire around him burns both the large creature and the smaller one that has been hitting him (OOC: B and M3 both took 9 radiant damage on their turns for ending their turns next to him).
Seeming to draw strength from the pounding he has taken, the deva takes a tremendous swing and hammers the large monster (OOC: Wound himself and use Bloodclaw weapon; Crit with Aspect of Might, doing 63 pts of damage).
OOC: If either B or M3 shift or make an attack that doesn't include him, he uses Battle Awareness as an immediate interrupt (attacking at +13 vs. AC, or +20 vs. AC against B, and doing 1d12+8 damage).
Current HP - 11/55; AC 23, Fort 16, Ref 19, Will 19. Current status: Aspect of Might (Until the end of the encounter, gain +5 to Athletics checks, +2 to speed, and +2 to melee damage rolls)

| John, are any of the enemies bloodied at this point? How hurt does the big guy (currently taken 181 pts of damage, unless it's resisting some) look?
BTW, if anyone's wondering about a lot of the old die rolls disappearing, that's me. I figured I'd prune the thread to make it more manageable. | |

| OOC: John, did you add in the 7 points of damage the big guy took for attacking Artichoke while marked by Yatagan?
Yatagan shifts to his right and strikes the giant a medicinal blow.
OOC: shift 1 square, use Invigorating Smite: 28 vs AC, damage 13 (2 to self), allies within 5 square gain 7 HP
current HP: 60 out of 70.

| Oothoon attempts to bite his chosen foe again (M3). Christabel, meanwhile, finally stands up and mutters a few words, making Artichoke and Lien feel a little better. Then she grasps her totem and, much more loudly than before, yells a word of power. A blast of energy erupts from her body and that of Ooothoon's spectral form, wounding the foes around them and knocking them off their feet (so I hope).
OOC: Oothoon's Attack (M3) - 24 vs Will [2 temporary hit points to Lizzy and Lien] for 9dmg.
Healing on Lien - 8
Using AP point for Wrath of the Spirit World...
B: 36 vs. Will M1: Crit M2: 29 vs. Will M3: 19 vs. Will
21 damage on a hit (35 damage to M1 b/c of Crit) and knocked prone, 10 damage on a miss
HP 50/62, AC 19, Fort 18, Ref 17, Will 21

Bah! Lien is on a mighty 26, and that due to the healing from Yatagan and Christabel. Incidentally, he did not spend a healing surge when Artichoke's daily gave him a chance to do so. He's waiting for a chance to fall over. | |

| Artichoke shakes his head groggily, spits out a tooth and says, "Is that all you've got?". Perhaps impelled by his own bullshit, he climbs back to his feet and then strikes the large monster another blow, digging his blade into one of the cracks his previous attack created.
OOC: Use Inspiring Word on self, giving himself a saving throw (which he finally makes). Stand up and then attack the large creature with Steel Monsoon. He hits AC 27 for 16 damage, and allows Yatagan, Odanais, Christabel and Lizzy to shift one square each if they want.
Surges spent today - 5; HP - 40/54; AC 24, Fort 20, Ref 22, Will 19
