In a surprisingly polite drunken rage, Web're drives his knee into his foes' groin. In a fit of inspiration, he reaches around the man's back, holding him in place to keep gouging...

... as his opponent does the exact same thing. They knock the wind, and possibly the offspring, out of each other.

The man's bag is really a professional adventurer's utility belt, with the durable pouches and compartments quite securely fastened, making it difficult to cut his purse in the usual manner. However, the man drops the partially-full pouch he had been emptying into his other hand. That hand opens, and something like glittering sand spills to the ground and then vanishes utterly.

Pogsley manages to nick the staggered man, but the armor under his clothes turns the blade. Meanwhile, Web'r demonstrate the power of his Drunken Boxing style: one body blow that almost injures Web'r's knuckles -- his foes concealed armor is very strong-- and a wild hay-maker which connects even as the man tries to duck it. OOC: 7 points non-lethal.

He's visibly woozy from Web'r Neanderthal pugilism, but he has enough wits about him to remove another packet from his belt, quickly dump its contents over his head, and vanish into thin air.

Pogsley and Web'r hear the faint scrape of oiled weapons being drawn from their sheaths. They also hear the man move into the center of the room. Pogsley suspects he's trying to be quiet, but doing a bad job.

OOC: since he's being noisy, each of you can take 1 shot at him. He's taken 27 HP of damage so far. And he's invisible. That's mostly good news, eh?

Web'r's fist indeed makes a mighty wind, signifying, and hitting, nothing. Pogsley, on the other hand, slips his short sword between the links of his opponents' armor, drawing blood. A grunt of pain issues from the empty air.

Instead of fleeing, Homily shouts. "No where is safe if good people run from evil! Face us, evil! I... dare you!" She draws her dagger and squints again.

From behind Web'r, a blade flashes into existence...

... and then into his back. It misses severing Web'r's spinal cord by about an inch. Even so, he takes a wound (6 HP damage).
