PostSubject: Treasure from the Glossop estate   Treasure from the Glossop estate Icon_minitimeFri Jan 09, 2009 10:20 pm

Here's a list of all that you obtained/found thus far at the Glossop estate and the caves below it:

* Necklace from Clarissa Glossop (500 gp worth)

* Ring on dead dwarf (50 gp)

* Circlet of Second Chances (Adventurer's Vault, lvl 3, 680 gp, head slot; Power (Daily): No Action. Use this power when you fail a saving throw. Reroll the saving throw, using the second result even if it’s lower.)

* 250 gp in equipment and money.

* 2 healing potions

* 2 tanglefoot bags (AV; level 2; 25 gp; alchemical item; Power (Consumable): Standard Action. Make an attack: Ranged 5/10; +5 vs. Reflex; on a hit, the target is immobilized until the end of your next turn, at which point the creature is then slowed until the end of its next turn.)

* 2 life shrouds (AV; Level: 4; 40 gp; A corpse wrapped in this shroud does not decay, can’t be touched by an undead creature, and can’t become undead. Once wrapped about a body, a shroud turns to dust after 1 week)

* 3 potions of resistance (AV; level 4; 40 gp; Power (Consumable): Minor Action. Drink this potion and spend a healing surge. You do not gain hit points as normal. Instead, gain resist 5 to damage of a specific type until the end of the encounter. The damage type (acid, cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, poison, psychic, or thunder) is determined when the potion is created. Only one potion of resistance can be in effect on you at once); The three potions are one each of resistance to fire, lightning and psychic.

* Shield of Protection (PHB; lvl 3; 680 gp; pg. 247)

* Bag of Holding (PHB; 1000 gp)

The wererats didn't have much on them, and for ease of use I'll just say they had enough to cover the cost of the alchemical silver some of you used in the fight.

So the only addition to the group treasury after this session was the 500 gp from Clarissa Glossop.

You guys should probably divide up the items you have now, and decide what to do with the money.

What you currently have is as follows:

* 1300 gp in cash, jewelry, gems, etc.

* Circlet of Second Chances (Adventurer's Vault, lvl 3, 680 gp, head slot; Power (Daily): No Action. Use this power when you fail a saving throw. Reroll the saving throw, using the second result even if it’s lower.) [Taken by Penelope, I believe]

* 2 healing potions

247) [Taken by Yatagan, I believe]

* Bag of Holding (PHB; 1000 gp)

A metagame note: Since I'm not interested in sweating the small stuff (nor, I presume, are you), I'm not going to track costs and such for minor issues such as rat poison and paying dancing girls. I'll just presume that comes out of the money you guys earn/recover. So unless I specifically tell you that you need to mark any money off what you have, assume that any expenses on such things are already included in the treasure totals you get.

Since you guys handed over 500 gp to Molly Wise, the cash above is down to 800 gp (the amount to Kloot is negligible).

If the money situation works out, Odanais would like to upgrade to a +2 orb.

What you obtain from Pitir is the following: Duelist's Rapier +2, magic leather armor +2, amulet of health +1, catstep boots, 650 gp.

With the stuff from previous sessions which has not been divided up, this is what you have

* 4500 gp in cash, jewelry, gems, etc.

* Bag of Holding (PHB; 1000 gp)

* Magic leather armor +2 (1800 gp) (Yatagan)

* Duelist’s weapon +2 (3400 gp) (Vox)

* Amulet of Health +1 (680 gp) (Yatagan)

* Catstep Boots (680 gp) (Heyoka)

So everyone please add 900 gp to your characters (i.e. 4500 gp divvied up 5 ways) and let me know what you want from above.

You'd need 1440 gp for that. Do you have enough with the 900 gp above or do you need to hit one of the other PCs up for a loan?

After the last fight, Heyoka wants the Catstep boots!

Do Vox or Odanais know the Transfer Enchantment ritual from AV? If so, we could transfer the +2 leather armor into plate armor for Yatagan.

I figured as much Smile

No, but completely and utterly coincidentally, Asarlai now does. He can take care of it. Scott, I presume Yatagan would want that?

Vox can certainly use the Duellist's weapon. And the leather armor, for that matter, but let's be all reasonable about this.

You've got +1 Delver's leather armor currently, right? That's an enchantment which works on any armor, so you could also take the +2 leather and have Asarlai transfer the +1 Delver's to someone else's. You guys just need to decide who wants what.

Also, I'd like to swap Yatagan's Cloak of Resistance and Shield of Protection plus coin for a Cloak of the Walking Wounded and Symbol of Dire Fate. The new items total 1840 gp. What's the trade-in value like at the Five Fathoms Market? Is it doable?

It's doable as long as you're spending all your coin and throwing in a couple of minor items with the Cloak of Resistance and Shield of Protection. As part of the deal, I'm going to mark off the healing potions and tanglefoot bags which nobody's taken as yet.

On the subject of healing potions, BTW, since their cost is too minor to track, I'm going to always assume each PC has one or two available.

Let's equip Odanais and the others first and see how much gold we have left over.

Maybe just one of the items this go round?

Sure. If you sell the Shield of Protection and the Cloak of Resistance and use the Amulet of Health which you guys have, you'd have about 1500 gp (including your 900 gp) to spend, so you could easily buy the Holy Symbol and have money left over for something else.

There's several rituals Vox would like to pick up, but one is particularly useful...and relatively cheap. Might easily come in handy for the sort of thing we've been dealing with.

Last Sight Vision
Level: 2
Category: Divination
Time: 10 minutes
Duration: 2 or more rounds
Component Cost: 25 gp
Market Price: 100 gp
Key Skill: Arcana or Religion

When you perform this ritual in the presence of a corpse or a skull, you witness an auditory and visual replay of the moments before the death of that creature, as seen from the creature's perspective. You cannot perform this ritual on headless corpses. Once you have performed this ritual, you must wait until you have gained a level before using it again on the same remains.

Your Arcana or Religion check determines the length of time prior to the target's death that you experience.

19 or lower: 2 rounds
20–29: 4 rounds
30–39: 6 rounds
40 or higher: 10 rounds

Last Sight Vision

Sure. Why don't we assume Vox picked it up already and you can post accordingly in the IC thread?

If no one minds, I'd like to grab the Amulet of Health for Yatagan and then give his Shield of Protection and Cloak of Resistance to Odanais to help fund his new orb.

And he'll spend 860 of his 900 gold coins on a +1 Symbol of Dire Fate (+1d6 damage/crit, +1 to hit Marked opponents when using an Implement power).

Lvl 2, +1, 520 gp
Implement (Rod)

Critical: +1d6 damage per plus
Power (Encounter): Free Action. Place a Warlock’s Curse on any target in sight.

I'm assuming nobody has an issue with that and making the changes to the list.

Steve, Odanais can spend 850 gp of his own money along with the stuff from Yatagan and get the new orb.

Fine by me.

Okay. He will have to be wielding the rod to use the power, of course.
