The figure draws a small drawstring pouch and opens it.

Pogsley doesn't recognize the pouch as a potential weapon so holds back his attack.

The man spends a few seconds staring at the pouch, as if he's trying to make up his mind, then he dumps the contents into one hand. Pogsely can see his is armed. He can make out the outlines of a short sword scabbard and a knife sheath on the figure's belt.

Web'r frowns. "Is this an offering for the wall spirits? I am sorry, but I do not know the proper protocol. Should I hammer a nail into one of them? Or would that be considered insulting?"

The man doesn't answer. Homily, however, says "I can't see him... but he's a bad man. I know."

Pogsley watches as the man hesitates further, perhaps confused by Web'r's strange words. Coming to a decision, he raises the hand he poured the contents of pouch into over his head. It looks like he's going to throw something on himself.

Web'r nods at the girl's words. "Very well then," he says, and bellows "In the name of the Wall Spirits!" as he strikes the man in the face.

OOC: Punch in the nose: 10 to-hit, with the strength bonus. No idea what the damage would be, if that is indeed a hit.

The man instinctively flinches; Web'r's right fist lands squarely in his chest -- however, the force of the blow is somehow absorbed by some kind of very light armor he's wearing under this shirt.

If possible, the man seems ever more surprised...

OOC: ... and I mean surprised in the AD&D sense. Web'r and Pogsley get 3 segments (treat them as rounds) of actions before the man can react -- yes, I rolled a "1" on his surprise die.

John, you get 2 attacks when pummeling (I checked!), so take a swing w/Web'r's left, then two more rounds of action. Pogsely can take 3...

Web'r follows up with a series of drunken punches, and then tries to grab and restrain the man.

OOC: Fairly awful rolls, but....
Left: 5
Right: 13
Left: 3
And then a grapple, if needed: 8

Pogsley draws his weapon and drunkenly sneak attacks a bag of flour, completely missing the fellow fighting Web'r.

OOC: the 13 connects. Roll %100 -- and curse you for making me read the AD&D Pummeling rules!

*And* the Grappling rules!

Did Web'r take his armor off before the feast (or bed)? This affects his chance to Grapple.

OOC: Before bed? Certainly. He's not a barbarian, after all, and wouldn't want to take the risk of offending the Bed Spirits. Percentile Roll: 18. I...have no idea whether that's good or not.

Web'r lands a drunken, glancing blow to the man's jaw (7 points non-lethal damage). Detective Pogsley notices Web'r's foe seems to be more interested in protecting what's in his hand than his face.

Unencumbered by armor, Web'r grabs the man easily and begins wrestling him.

OOC: give me another %100 roll, John. For the record, roll %100 twice for any non-lethal attack. 1st is to-hit, 2nd is effect. Once we resolve Web'r's attempt to put him in a cave-man hold, it'll be his turn... heh.

His initiative: 5

"Surrender, please! Or I will be forced to become violent," Web'r says calmly, as he puts his knee somewhere unpleasant.

OOC: 82! Which is...something.

In a surprisingly polite drunken rage, Web're drives his knee into his foes' groin. In a fit of inspiration, he reaches around the man's back, holding him in place to keep gouging...

... as his opponent does the exact same thing. They knock the wind, and possibly the offspring, out of each other.

OOC: Web'r does 13 points of non-lethal damage and takes 9 points of non-lethal. Both of them are stunned for 1 round. It's Pogsley's turn.
