It's future Mrs. Yatagan!
(actually, it should be 'Mrs. Fracas') Naturally, she'd be horrified by Yatagan, and outraged by his crudeness and idiocy, yet secretly attracted to him in true Victorian-heronine fashion. Her middle name? Ingeunique (pronounced in pseudo-French: and-jeu-Nique), a portmanteu of ingenue and "and unique". Beautiful Ingeunique Snowflake.

In light of certain recent additions to the League, I feel I have to ask: is she biologically female? Not that it's easy to tell w/Dragonborn. - Atlatl Jones wrote:

That's lovely in a painful sort of way, although personally, I'd have gone with "Precious Ingeunique Snowflake".

"Will regret this," Pætros mutters to himself, raising his staff high. "Harlot! Am still wanting blood? Drink this!" Red clouds boil into being above his head, and begin to weep tears of boiling blood.
OOC: Casting Rain of Blood, centered on himself. Only damages enemies, so no worries there. It's only an attack, and does not create a lasting zone, so I would assume that the rainfall is very brief indeed. But hopefully, caustic holy pig-blood falling from the sky is enough to get Cybelle's attention.

It rains hot blood as if there were a great hog butchery in the heavens above you. Cybelle's ghost is both injured and nourished by this, which is rather par for the course when you're dealing with religious matters. The vampire queen reaches down to stroke Pætros's blood-covered cheek. Even though her body is mist, her touch is iron. Fresh thin blood wells out of his face.
OOC: 5 damage and 5 ongoing, both Necrotic.
Meanwhile, a Bailiff shouts at Titus, "Lay down your... implements!". The Magister lowers both his arms, then jerks forward like a puppet a string being yanked by an evil child. One Bailiff shoots Titus in the side. The other sends a bolt into the sea. Once Titus is on top of them they start screaming. Both drop their huge crossbows and draw equally huge swords. They swing wildly at unseen enemies, striking only each other as a phantom hand reaches out of Titus's back and touches one Bailiff. He cringes as his face goes slack.
Then Titus vanishes, only to reappear next to Pætros.

He shudders a little, despite himself. "Touch is cold," he says flatly. "Death not agree with you, harlot." - Mallus wrote:

The Porcophant jumps, startled, and then a crafty look flickers across his face. "Welcome!" he cries. "Come, let me give gift!" With that, Pætros whips the elaborate hat from his head and slams it down onto Titus. OOC: His Porcophant Hat is the Circlet of Second Chances that he's wearing. Which allows...well.
Power (Daily): No Action. Use this power when you fail a saving throw. Reroll the saving throw, using the second result even if it's lower.
He hasn't used it today. Hopefully Titus can. If not, he'll die stylish. Two rolls, then -- one for his own save, one to make the "attack" on Titus, if such is needed.
Well, the attack is a 14 + 4, for a basic attack. The save, at a 4, ain't.

Pætros crowns Titus with glory, in a splendidly literal fashion, for a pope. The Eladrin winces in pain, twice, blinks several times, then comes to his senses. The demon with the infinitely-receding reflection for a head pops into existence next to the two of them, looking infinitely miffed.
Titus looks up at the ghost of Cybelle, the Miter of the Porchophant tilting precariously on his narrow head. "We need to finish the binding ritual now! Those of you with the Art, lend me your strength. The rest, destroy the demon". Dandy's Bailiffs hear Titus's orders and pick up their arbalests, deciding ranged attacks are the better part of valor, at least for now.
Titus resumes conducting his mystic symphony. Cybelle howls without sound as the invisible chains the hold her increase in strength.

OOC: sure. It'll be a Arcana check, or a straight caster ability check (CHA). - gridley wrote:

OOC: always an option. | |

| "Please to be remembering," Pætros snaps, "Am expecting hat back when this over!" As he speaks he raises his staff again, and then begin chanting an elaborate prayer to Precious Treasure of the Heavens.
As the staff kindles with an eerie glow, Pætros claps his upon Titus' shoulder, allowing the light to leap from the Porcophant and into the Eladrin. Leaning forward, he speaks sage words of advice into Titus' ear: "Do not be fucking this up. Would be bad."
OOC: 21 Arcana or Religion.

| Titus's already pale face whitens further as the Porcophant's holy magic flows into him.
"Not... H'al'al! he gasps, using the ancient fluid Eladrin term denoting the purity and permissibility of arcane energy. However, 'pure' and 'permissible' being incredibly fluid concepts to the Fae, he drinks the power down.
The bindings on Cybelle grow even stronger, but she persists in resisting them.

Odanais contorts his face into a sort of snarl and attempts to fill Titus with his sorcerous energy. Arcana 12

| The Jetty
Guided, as always, by his intuition and his passion rather than his reason and his discipline, Odanais opens an arcane conduit to Magister Titus. The resulting torrent of manna overwhelms the startled mage. Fortunately the resulting explosion is small, really no more than a shower of sparks.
Those observing who are trained in arcana wonder briefly if this has something to do with this Odanais hailing from a parallel world.
