Lizzy develops a watertight argument against the existence of the "undead" and, in fact, any type of magic. He draws heavily on the tome, The Gods Are Dead by the dwarven philosopher Fredrik Niche. The logic of his argument causes Sancerre's mind to literally implode.

Hits 28 will and does 31 damage, pulling Sancerre inexorably toward Lizzy. He's also immobilized. A miss does half damage.

OOC: by my reckoning, Lizzie's aT 22 HP. He got hit by Pætros's Invocation of Ice and Fire for 21 points and then 5 more for the Shadar-Kai witch's shadow cloud.

On the plus side, Lizzie hurt Sancerre but good!

OOC: so here's where we stand... and it's your turn(s).

Also, shil, make a Perception check for Lien...

P1: 122 - Bloodied.
P3: 137 - Bloodied.
P4: 85
SK: 69 - Bloodied, badly .
IP: 35
Sancerre: 166 - Bloodied, pretty badly, for a half-ghost, that is.

Lien can make out at least a half a dozen man-shaped shapes flitting in and out of the shadows at the edge of his vision --say around 100 ft or so away-- south of you, at the base of Twilight Hill. They appear to the waiting, or watching.

Lizzy teleports to N14. Again, he will later convince himself that he was fleet-footed enough to escape panther and Sancerre. This time: Lizzy starts reciting his oratory from the 3rd Port Soviet. The stirring tones and raging exhortations form lightning that arcs across the open air of the Park to Sancerre. (Renewing strike).

Hits a 16 reflex of with 16 damage and spends a healing surge. If miss then half damage.

34 HP (Stupid swirling "magic" hail.)

Lizzie's nicks the agile vigilante (Sancerre takes 8 ). He, or rather, the body of young Armand Rum, bleeds quite freely now.

Scott, Lien's going to eat an AoO from P1 and head for Sancerre. Does he get hit?

Couldn't he avoid that by teleporting?

Yeah, but he won't, since he does more damage when enemies he hasn't marked as his chosen foe hit him.

OOC: aha... rolling.

The veteran pirate realizes too late that Sir Lien is actually hoofing it in the direction of Sancerre and swings a badly-timed blow at the deva's back, only to catch the corner of his flowing, religious extremists robe.

Knowing a good idea when he sees it, Pætros makes the sign of the Pig (placing a finger on the tip of what would be a nose on a human face, and pushing it up and back) and levels his staff at Sancere. "Is to be surrendering, fell spirit! The Power of Pork compels you!"

OOC: Use Rebuke Undead -- 28 vs. Will, 14 damage.

And Minor Action to maintain Brilliant Cloak.

Current Defenses: AC 27, Fort 23, Ref 22, Will 22. (Includes -2 to-hit penalty from Astral Splendor), +1 to all defenses against anyone he hit this turn.

Lien shouts a warning, waving a hand at the creatures watching the fight, "We have spectators!" Then he hurries towards Sancerre, letting the pirate near him take a harmless swing. Nearing Sancerre, he winds up and launches another powerful blow at him.

OOC: Lien moves to M12 and attacks Sancerre with Enduring Strike (hits AC 29 for 27 damage). He then uses his Cloak of Resistance (minor) to gain resist 5 to all damage till the end of his next turn.

LIEN: HP 40/66 (Bloodied 33); Healing surges 5 (16 hp); AC 24, Fort 18, Ref 20, Will 21

Current benefits:
Potent Rebirth: After being reduced to 0 hp, gain +2 to attacks & damage until end of encounter.
Aspect of Might: Until the end of the encounter, gain +5 to Athletics checks, +2 to speed, and +2 to melee damage rolls.
