Pætros, seeing Odanais fall, feels vaguely motivated to do something about it. Moving his staff in a twisting motion, as though winding something about it, he gives it a sudden tug as lightning lancing down from the skies above.

OOC: Hit Sancere with Lightning Revelation -- Area Burst 1, with a range of 10. 14 vs. Reflex, but if it hits that's 14 Electrical damage and -4 to all defense until the end of Pætros' next turn.

Use a Minor action to maintain Brilliant Cloak, and use Iron Mind (+2 to all defenses) as an Interrupt if he gets hit. Pig moves to N11

Current Defenses: AC 27, Fort 23, Ref 22, Will 22. (Includes -2 to-hit penalty from Astral Splendor).

Seeing allies dropping or being wounded all around him, Sir Lien twists his face in disappointment and growls at his unfortunate target, "You're supposed to be hitting me!" His sword then bursts into flame as he swings at the unfortunate target. As the pirate falls, Lien turns to Sancerre and yells, "You're next!" and then races towards him.

Artichoke shouts after him, "Good! Keep Sancerre off Odanais!" He then swings at the pirate between Lizzie and himself, before stepping out of the cloud. "Odanais!" he shouts, "Get on your feet, man! It's just a flesh wound!"

OOC: Lien attacks P2 with Halo of Flame (hits AC 23 for 33 pts of fire damage). If he kills the man, Lien uses Oath of Enmity on Sancerre and uses Aspect of Agility to shift 5 squares to P17, gaining +2 to AC and Ref till the end of his next turn.

Artichoke attacks P3 with Steel Monsoon and presumably misses (hit AC 19 for 17 damage). If he does hit, Lizzie and Paetros can shift 1 square each if they want. Artichoke then shifts to M11 and uses an Inspiring Word on Odanais, letting him spend a healing surge and gain an extra 7 hp (which, I believe, puts him at 24 hp).

ARTICHOKE: HP 49/64 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges/day 10 (17 hp); AC 25, Fort 22, Ref 23, Will 20

LIEN: HP 11/65 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges 6 (16 hp); AC 24 (26 this rd), Fort 17, Ref 20 (22 this rd), Will 20

Sancerre sees Pætros focusing his attention on him and nimbly sidesteps the lightning. Yes, he nimbly sidesteps lightning.

OOC: are you sure you don't want to take me up on the Skill Challenge? Very Happy

Pah! PCs not talk. PCs kill. Kill good.

BTW, did Lien's attack kill P2? From what you posted about them being bloodied at 90 hp I figured so, but I don't know if the guy's got any resistance to fire, which might make a difference.

OOC: it just hits him and just kills him.

One pirate down, three to go. And Sancerre. And a mostly-visible panther. Oh, there's a witch out there somewhere, too, but she's pretty bad off...

"Thanks, Captain!" says Odanais, leaping nimbly to his feet. "I needed that."

He dances carefully out of Sancere's reach, then runs over to Lien's side. "He's all your if you want him, big guy. I think I'll back you up from the cheap seats for a bit."

Seeing that Artichoke is flanked, he hurls a tempest of flame at his foes.

-----------------

Stand from prone: Minor action (acrobat shoes)

Shift: O-17
Move: J-13

Flame Spiral (vs. reflex): P4-23, P3-22. Damage: 20 pts fire/radiant.

------------------

Current Defenses:
AC: 24, Fort: 20, Ref: 23, Will: 26
HP: 24, Surges: 4

Lizzy sees P2 fall and turns on the bastard pirate P3 with a sick gleam in his eye. "You are a mutherfucking enemy of the people. You will now die." he snarls. Twirling his cloak around (what, he's a materialist) he rains heavy blows on the pirate.

HP 23/71 (Bloodied 35), Healing surges 10 (17 hp) AC 24, Fort 18, Ref 17, Will 20

He hits AC 31 for 23 damage. If hits, he is invisible until end of next turn (executioner's cloak).

After a surprisingly inaccurate rain of blows from Sancerre's band, only Sir Lien goes down (44 damage, non-lethal -- he can't catch a break, can he?), after which Sancerre teleports next to the Porcophant, much to his upcoming chagrin. The pirate that helped Sancerre knock Lien out soon finds himself surrounded by Unseemly Folk, including the more skilled Lack-A-Day and Bumtussle. Several vagrant knives strike the veteran pirate.

Captain Artichoke finds himself mostly unscathed, still, except for the bone-deep, slightly soul-destroying chill from the shadow cloud (5 Necrotic damage)

Count Rags and Lady Snogbottom graze two pirates with their bolts. No lightning rains down from the sky, but a peal of thunder rings out. The air is still pretty lilac-y, too.

Sancerre's men left standing curse their sloppy swordplay and reposition themselves for the endgame in the blink of a cold-blooded killer's eye.

P1: 82
P2: dead
P3: 122 - Bloodied
P4: 85
SK: 69 (she's the Shadar-Kai in the cloud) - badly, badly, Bloodied.
IP: 14 (it's the now semi-visible panther)
Sancerre: 67

Gotcha!

Artichoke shouts, his voice ringing across the battlefield as if echoing off the walls of a meeting hall for one of his (in)famous motivational speeches, "My friends, bums and allies - everybody hold it!"

Then the rotund leader of the League bursts into surprisingly fast action. Moving out of the cloud and up on the opposite side of Sancerre, he says, "Sorry, Sancerre - but you're going down. Into a bottle!" Then he brings his sword around and up in an unusually powerful blow, dazing the would-be-hero and vagrant-killer.

As Sancerre rocks back at the impact, Artichoke reverses his swing and catches him amidships, further wounding him. "Everyone!" he shouts, his voice strangely inspiring courage and awakening even Lien where he lies in a pool of gore, "Get this idiot!" As Lien struggles back to his feet, Artichoke calls out, "Sir Lien, we could use you here - NOW!"

OOC: Artichoke asks everyone to delay till he goes. Then he:

1 - Moves to L12 (via L10 and K11, to avoid an AoO)

2 - Uses an Action Point to attack with Lead the Attack. He hits AC 36 for 21 pts of damage, giving himself and all allies (bums included) in 5 squares a +5 to hit Sancerre till the end of the fight.

3 - Uses his standard action to attack with Stand the Fallen. He hits AC 40 for 16 points of damage, and lets every ally within 10 (so presumably every bum too) spend a healing surge and recover an extra 2 hp.

4 - Uses Majestic Word to lets Lien spend a healing surge and heal an extra 10 hp.

5 - Lights a cigar and says, "Ah, that was good!"

ARTICHOKE: HP 63/64 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges left 9 (17 hp); AC 25, Fort 22, Ref 23, Will 20

"Thanks again, Captain."

Odanais swirls chaos into the minds of the enemies gathering around him, then teleports away where he quickly chugs a healing potion.

If those hit: P3 is pushed to J-13; IP is pushed to J-14; Sancere is pushed to J-8.

Move: Teleport to O-15

Minor action: Drink healing potion (10 pts)
