| Startled by the sudden appearance of a great cat, Pætros leaps backwards and calls upon the power of Divine Treasure of the Heavens to smite the beast. Alas, biting his tongue in the middle of the incantation causes the rest of his words to be lost in a stream of blood and obscenities. - Rolzup wrote:
- OOC: Shift to N12, use Penance Compelled on the Panther. Roll a one. Curse.
Use a minor action to have the Blade Angel attack the Panther as well....
Spend a minor action to maintain Brilliant Cloak.
AoO for the Angel, should it be needed: 8 vs. Reflex. Bleah.
Current Defenses: AC 27, Fort 23, Ref 22, Will 22. (Includes -2 to-hit penalty from Astral Splendor).

The magenta zone is Odanais's Howling Hurricane -- it persists, doesn't it? Ah, I see. It does persist, but it's very, very small. It's only 3x3.

| OOC: okay, I updated the last round's post.
Also, Lien, Lizzie Artichoke (and P3) take 5 points of electrical damage, unless they have resistance to it.

| Scott, Artichoke's going to let Lien spend a healing surge and then Lien will run after P2, drawing AoOs from P1, P3 and the panther. Could you tell me how many hit and how much damage he takes? | |

OOC: Coming right up... Sir Lien Repossessed is struck twice by pirate cutlasses. One blade slides delightfully between his ribs to tickle the Deva's heart self-loathing heart (24 damage).

Odanais summons up Larkspur's longing and pain, mixing it with the obvious concern from Armand's sister, and jacks it up with his own inconsolable loss from losing his sister Elizee, then hurls the dire emotional torrent directly into Sancere's mind. As Odanais's attack strikes, the storm he created follows from behind, lifting both Sancere and Odanais into the air. "Fight him, Armand!" screams out Odanais, buffeted by huge gusts of wind. | Seeing that Odanais and Paetros are doing fairly well for themselves, Artichoke indicates the most wounded pirate and calls out, "Lien - don't let that one get away!" Then he says, eyeing the closer pirate, "As for you, my fine buccaneer," and steps in, swinging his sword.
Lien, meanwhile, hefts his blade and runs after his quarry, happily accepting attacks from the other pirates and the panther. Streaming with blood, the deva winds up and unleashes a tremendous blow at his opponent.
OOC: Artichoke uses Inspiring Word on Lien, shifts to L10 and attacks P3 with Wolf Pack Tactics (hits AC 23 for 11 damage).
Lien moves to K13 and attacks P2 with Aspect of Might, using Memory of a Thousand Lifetimes (hits AC 24 for 44 damage). Till the end of the battle, he now has +5 to Athletics checks, +2 to speed, and +2 to melee damage rolls.
ARTICHOKE: HP 59 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges/day 10 (17 hp); AC 25, Fort 22, Ref 23, Will 20
LIEN: HP 13/65 (Bloodied 32); Healing surges 6 (16 hp); AC 24, Fort 17, Ref 20, Will 20

After Odanais releases a dazzling torrent of his own Larkspur's dilemma and his personal issues, careful woven together with magic, into Sancerre/Armand's face, the sorcerer notices a glint of otherness in the half-elf's face. It's the presence of the body's original owner, Armand Rum. Sancerre cries out in pain, then alarm. He quickly regains his composure, though he's a little slow bringing his sword point up... OOC: Thanks to Odanais and his therapy-ray, you've gained the opportunity to help Armand eject Sancerre from his body, should you decide to take it.
This is a Complexity II Skill Challenge (6 before 3). I have no idea what skills are appropriate for a mid-melee exorcism of a wine-based ghost. Convince me! Each Skill Challenge roll will cost a Standard action to perform. Depending on what that action is, you just might grant combat advantage to adjacent enemies.
You are under no obligation to participate in this Skill Challenge. Settle it all with violence, if you like...

Invigorated by his proximity to --temporary-- death, Lien deals a deep cut to the grizzled veteran. He now looks seriously wounded. - shilsen wrote:

Looking fearful for the first time since this evening's fracas began, Artichoke's target glances back in the direction of Sancerre as he takes a longsword cut to his side. There is an overpowering smell of lilac in the air. Somewhere, impossibly delicate harps play. In a blink, Artichoke's man is standing near Sancerre, on the spot Odanais stood a moment before (at P14). It's seems the second Unseemly ritual was partially efficacious, if not entirely what it's caster intended, thanks to the crack on the noggin... OOC: and now to mix things up further... you are now in a Fae Circle. Everyone inside the Circle can Teleport 5 squares as a Move action. The exact dimensions of the Circle are, alas, unknown to you at this time.

| Lizzy takes advantage of the fae circle and teleports to L12 (though he will convince himself later that he actually ran there) to resume his assault on the enemy of the people P2. "You won't get away from me so easily Pirate shit."
26 to hit vs. AC and 18 pts damage if successful.
HP 66 (Bloodied 35), Healing surges 10 (17 hp) AC 24, Fort 18, Ref 17, Will 20

| The scene atop Twilight Hill turns into a Fae throwdown as pirates, protagonists, and noble vagrants flash about the field of battle. Captain Artichoke remains untouched. But his suffers some minor injury from being inside the edge of the shadow cloud (5 Necrotic damage)Lizzie gets tag-teamed by a pirate and a now mostly-visible panther (43 damage). Odanais finally meets the business ends of Sancerre's dual scimitars, plus a poke from a pirate. He gets smacked upside the head with the flats and falls to the grass (66 damage. Sancerre chose to knock him out, so no Death Save). To add insult to non-lethal injury, Sancerre blinks the trauma caused by Odanais's spell from his now slightly tear-stained eyes. Another bolt of lightning strikes a pirate (P3), singing him. This time, the sparks immediately shoot into the ground, electrifying the area around him (Artichoke, Lizzie, P2, panther: 5 electrical damage). Meanwhile, three Unseemly Folk move in to harass a pirate (P1) with their long vagrant knives. Lord Lack-A-Day and his Lady Bumtussle valiantly flank Sancerre. Count Rags and Snogbottom fire hand crossbows at Sancerre's men. If they have any more bum magic left, they're keeping it in reserve. The old and underage non-combatants, including both ritual casters, zap en masse outside the circle of stone benches. P1: 52 P2: 152 - badly Bloodied P3: 94 - Bloodied P4: 57 SK: 69 (she's the Shadar-Kai in the cloud) - badly, badly, Bloodied. IP: 14 (it's the now semi-visible panther) Sancerre: 67
