The Good News: everyone goes up 1 level!

The Neutral News: it's going to take 1 week to train. If a character forgoes training, they receive their extra HP for leveling, and that's it -- until they train under a master.

The Bad News: it costs 1000 GP to train under a master.

However, you *do* have a fair amount of treasure...

Question: did you seek level training before leaving the Old Port? The miniature dryads encourage you to leave for the shrine as soon as possible.

If you decide to go before training, there's a chance you could encounter potential trainers along the way... who knows?... I'll roll some dice...
